We are all still alive

Drive from our house to my parents... 7 hours.

Drive from the their house to Savannah... 10 hours.

Part of the drive where dear flyboy and I lost our sanity... oh somewhere around hour 2.

And we have 5 hours again tomorrow. AGGGGGGGGHHHH! I don't know who will be happier to see Disney World. The kids or us since it means a glorious five day break from driving. With our children. For any length of time at all.

We arrived in Savannah and my parents very thoughtfully offered to take the boys in their hotel room so that we could go out and have a night on the town, both of us love Savannah and walking around and exploring is always fun.

We are officially old fuddy duddy farts. We walked for about not even an hour, grabbed a quick bite at Panera's and now I'm laying in bed after my shower typing out this update and then I'm off to bed. And its not even 9.

I don't know who will be more worn out at disney, the kids, myself, or my poor parents.

I'm off to rest up. Tomorrow we take on the happiest place on Earth!

  6. I've told the husband that I want to go vacation there sometime...I went for my first time when I was thirteen and loved it! Yeah all that driving with children can be rough but it'll be so worth it! Are ya'll staying at Shades Of Green? I never knew until last week that they have a hotel set aside just for military families with deep discounts! whoo hoo!

  8. That is a crazy amount of driving. But it seems you have it planned out pretty well. When we drove from Ft. Hood to Ohio, my *lovely* husband made us drive the 20 hours straight through without stopping to sleep. Crazy.

Have a great time at Disney World!!!

  10. All I can say is take a break when you need it! If we ever go to Disney, it will be sans GQ as he refuses to go. He hates amusement parks, but that is OK, there are other things we can all do together! Well when Fatboy gets older anyway!

Hope you have a really good time!!!!

  11. Have a wonderful time! We went last August (during Tropical Storm Fay so no heat or lines...amazing) and it was the first time for my girls. We had the BEST time and going back is all my husband talks about. :)

  14. Hope you do have fun. It should be a good time of year too before the real heat and all the summer vactioners.
Once you get there all will be forgotten once you see the smiles on your boys' face.
