Last night a skunk sprayed right by my brand new (well four months old) car. And for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of living in the country and inhaling the sweet scent of skunk, where they spray the scent is strong.
S.T.R.O.N.G strong.
He must have done it right by the doors because the back half of the car now smells like skunk. In fact its strong enough I actually was afraid the skunk was in the car.
However now that pesky new car smell is gone. We all know how old that smell can get.
And by the way thanks for coming out of the woodwork folks! I had no idea all of you were out there, stop by and say hi some more, I'm always up for comments. I live for them, they make a day filled with poop and skunk more delightful.
As if skunk by itself isn't delightful.

haha...when my hubby and I were dating in high school, he could not go a day without hitting a skunk. He had the worst luck...it was so funny. His car always smelled awful.
ReplyDeleteAfter he left for BMT, every time I saw a dead skunk in the road I would laugh my butt off. :)
It STANKS though!!! I feel your pain...
Skunk and cookies? Put your pants on, dear, I'm coming to your house tonight!
ReplyDeleteI once saw one when I was walking on base at night. All I know was one second I was two feet away from the fluffy stinker and the next second I was about 100 feet away. At least you got rid of that new car smell. Who wants their car to smell new when it can smell like children and skunks?
Ugh skunk!
ReplyDeleteI read "I smell...." and immediately finished the sentence with "baby poop."
My car smells like skunk right now too! I can't figure out what happened though. I just know it's been that way for 4 days and it's driving me crazy!
ReplyDeleteUgh. Skunks. I'm so sorry. I hate how when you pass a recently-hit skunk your car picks up the smell.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. I had a neighborhood skunk for awhile. He left a lovey scent just about every morning.
ReplyDeleteGood lord you did have a lot of people that never comment! hahaha
ReplyDeleteIck. Smelled skunk new. And it's unpleasant.
Thanks for reminding me to look at the positives of it. I don't mind them flying over, even at night, and I love being on base and seeing them take off. I just am not real crazy about the engine burnoff (I don't think that's the right term, but it's something like that) in the middle of the night.
ReplyDeleteNo freakin' way, that sucks... Was probably scared by one of the barn cats or something. UGH.
ReplyDeleteEwwwww! Skunk smell is just so horrible. Did you bathe your car in tomato juice???
ReplyDeleteYuck! Skunk!!! We have a crazy amount of them around where we live and I always wake up in a bad mood when I was woken up during the night because of a skunk that sprayed outside...How does that smell get in your house when everything is closed up???
ReplyDeleteHope the smell goes away soon!
I HATE SKUNK WITH A PASSION! Our collie has been skunked twice now, and we live in a city suburb! Good luck getting that gross smell to go away.
ReplyDeleteI hate new car smell!
ReplyDeleteEww..I didn't know it was that bad :(
ReplyDeleteHit up BJ's for an industrial sized can of tomatoe juice and just dump it on your vehicle. :)
We get the worst skunk sprays in our neighborhood because of all the coyotes and rabbits. I can't stand the smell but hubby doesn't seem to even mind it. Must be an infantry thing :)
ReplyDeleteThat SUCKS. Poor new car :(
