Questions of the day

I'm alive, I swear.  I just momentarily forgot where I put the computer.

Seriously lately there is just no time for posting.  This post alone has taken 8 hrs to toss together.  And that would be 8 hours for the first four sentences.

I used to blog while the boys were playing nicely, now that dash-3 is mobile and in the "into everything" stage that peace is few and far between.  I used to blog during naptime but now on the rare occasion that dash3 naps at home, I spend that time trying to get as much stuff done {showering, household chores, hanging out with dash2} while he isn't underfoot.

I used to blog at night, especially when flyboy was away, I'd just sit up in my nice comfy bed and get lost in the inter web.  Now after doing the bedtime dance with everyone I'm pooped.  Even on the nights I pull out my laptop my brain is too fried to string together a post.

So my question of the day...... when do you blog?  Do you blog several post at once and then set them up on auto post?  Do post in the morning or night?  Do you ever feel like blogging is almost a chore?  Have you felt like blogging is kicking your ass lately?Ok so that was more like the questions of the day.

Answer one or answer them all!  I'm just curious if I'm the only one feeling like this lately.......

And just so you all know, my goal for this week is a post on 5 out of the 7 days, so don't abondon me bloggy peeps.  I swear I'm here, I'm just trying to find my groove.

I wonder if Stella would let me borrow hers?  She got it back right?

  2. I would like to have it that I blog everyday Monday through Friday. But it doesn't always work that way. I find if I am pretty random about the times and such. I have 1 kid in school, 1 at home so it does seem easier during the school day. Not sure how things will change when baby #3 comes.

  3. I try to blog everyday, but that doesn't always work. I usually blog while Sean is at work, since he doesn't like me to be on the computer a lot while he's at home.

I've gotten bad at commenting. I read too many blogs now to comment on the majority of them and it actually makes me feel really bad.

  4. I blog as the spirit moves me ... sometimes there is a week between posts, sometimes multiple posts the same day. If the topics are random, I will post-date them and let them fill when I am lacking creative juice. If they are relevant to a particular state of mind or current event, I will post them as they are written.

  5. I blog in the morning during that sacred first nap of the day!

  6. It really depends. I usually have a running list of crap that I want to blog about, so I usually have several "posts" that are just waiting--but they are crazy psycho babble notes to remind me what I wanted to say. Then, when I get a break/have some time, I will flesh them out a little and publish them as I go. Most of the time, I blog as I go, but I usually have a few ideas that I schedule out. Only because I am crazy OCD like that. And forgetful.

  7. I used to blog every day, but since I'm only a sister/daughter/friend and not a wife or a mother yet, I just do it when I have the inspiration, and/or when I'm not busy. :)
I have half-way-done a post before to finish it later and post it... And I've taken all day to write a post intbetween doing other stuff and tooling around on the internet on blogs and fb, but I try to cut my 'puter time back these days for real life and journal writing. Heh.

  8. I blog whenever the mood strikes me. Usually at night or first thing in the morning. I've been in a bit of a blogging rut myself recently. Not sure why. i guess I should go out and do something crazy to make my life more interesting to write about! haha

  9. I'm new to blogging on Blogger, but I do have another blog on another site. I update that blog anywhere from a couple times a week, to 3 times a day, depending on what's going on in my life.

This blog is new to me, so I'm trying to post a few times a week. So far, I've posted daily since starting it, so I'm off to a good start! :)

  10. I blog after bedtime. We're also anti nap here so if he actually takes a nap I run around getting household stuff done. And I try to do two posts at once and schedule them. Try. Not always succeeding. Sometimes my posts are 'here, have some pictures' because I just don't have time or energy for much else.

And, yeah, occationally blogging feels like a chore. But the relationships I've made from blogging are very important to me and so I keep it up.

  11. I blog if I feel like it. That's pretty much it. If I were trying to make money at it, I'd have to work up a schedule, but I'm not. So, I just do what I want to do with it. I'm fairly certain I don't have much of a readership since I took my blog out of search engines when we moved (I really didn't like how my blog came up tops every time someone googled our island - I really didn't want everyone and their dog living here reading it. It's too small townish as it is), so it doesn't matter a huge amount to me if I blog or not. Mostly I just do it to keep up with my real life friends, and a few nice blogger friends who have cropped up along the way.

Oh, and nap time? Sigh; that hasn't happened around here for months. How I miss that quiet hour when I had it!

  12. I usually blog while AJ is sleeping (or napping) so I try to get as many posts together during that time as I can. Sometimes it's several posts that go on auto post, while other times it's just one post.

It also kind of depends on how much blog-worthy stuff has happened to me lately!

  13. I wrote a blog like this a few weeks ago. I didn't know how to fit it all in. Then I realized I should just blog when the mood strikes me and when I have the time. So sometimes what I blog about happened over a week ago but I that's when I will have the time.

  14. Well, typically, I can blog whenever because it's just me :) But the last couple of weeks I have been taking care of my friend's kids, and it leaves very little time for blogging OR commenting! However, now I think I've found a decent routine. Of course, I'm not also trying to manage a household at the same time - just keep the kids from getting hurt or going hungry - so I don't guess it's a fair comparison.

I'm not going to lie... I live for comments. Nice ones that is.
