Crawl out from the rock!

It's that time around here again! Time to delurk everyone!

Crawl out from behind the blog reading rock to leave me a comment and let me know that you're out there me.  After all, if I'm sharing my daily life "successes" with you it's only fair.

And another question.... do all the people who follow me really read me?  {I'm wondering if this is going to cause a mass exodus of followers} I really don't write for the comments, I'm just wondering if the majority of the 371 people on my sidebar are actually reading the mundane drivel I write about.

And just so fair is fair, because I want you to comment and let me know about you, I'll let you know about the fun in our house right now.

Dash-1 and dash-2 have turned the nursery into a dark campsite, however said campsite is also serving a dual purpose as a candy corn store in which dash-1 is handing out "free candy corn to all the nice little boys and girls".  Uhuh.

Dash-2, of course, has his underpants on backwards but they are at least right side out.  This is an improvement.  They are also a size too small but since they are CARS he doesn't want to throw them out so he looks like a European on the way to the beach.

Dash-3 found his way in a box and luckily I know he's in there so no one will be able to send him to Abu Dabi or anything like that.

Oh and me... I've installed a blogfrog widget and set up a little community thingy there, check it out if your so inclined. I'm not sure how it works but hey, I didn't get twitter at first either and now I'm a first class twit. Or this parenting thing and we all know how that is going....

That about sums up our day.  So now about you.....

  1. I follow and read :) I have often wondered the same thing about my followers. Do any of them actually read my psychobabble?!

  2. ugh. i deleted my comment on accident.
    you know i reead, b/c i comment.
anyway. my son is on week 3 of wearing his underwear backwards. some days, the days my husband goes berserk trying to fix it, he wears his shorts backwards too.

  3. I think lots of people who follow read via things like Google Reader or direct Email updates without actually clicking on your page, so they rarely comment. (Or they just like to lurk :) I lurk around a bunch of blogs I've never commented on!)

I don't understand Blogfrog either. I have almost 100 "members in my community" and I've used it once to set it up and never posted a single thing there since, lol. *shrugs* Facebook is still my favorite time suck by far :)

  4. I just started reading your blog very recently. On the underwear note. When my son was between 2 and 3 he was always putting his shirts on backwards. So we taught him that the picture goes in the front. Which lead to him wearing his underwear backward for about a year! Because hey the big picture goes in the front right!

  5. I have been following for a long time now, I'm just terrible about commenting.

  6. I'm here and I read, but you already knew that one! :)

  7. I usually read via Google Reader, so it's hard to comment. Is that lurking? I guess it is. LOL!

  8. I follow AND read! :) I am slacking on commenting, but I've wanted to post this very same post! I have a tracker and I know tons of people read, but I have no clue who they are!

  9. I read, but only about weekly.

  10. I stalk and comment (sometimes) hey, at least you HAVE readers. My pittiful blog is just words sent out into a corner of interwebs where nobody goes. Lol

  13. You know I read because I always comment! :-) I have always wondered what the blogfrog is all about. Let me know how it goes. Although summer is almost over which means my blog will get the boot! :-( I doesn't happen on purpose, just happens!

  19. I'm out here and reading most of the time. I had to take a break from blogging and blog reading as I made the transition from Hawaii to Rhode Island but I'm back!

  21. i admit i fell off the wagon and read NO BLOGS pretty much since matt deployed and returned home. but the last 2 weeks or so i've been much better. we'll see how it continues. :] i missed reading your posts!

  22. i read your blog and enjoy reading about your family. i just don't comment much.

  23. I read and follow, I'm just not good about commenting. I'm still new to the whole blogging thing, but I think your kids are hilarious. Right now I'm just starting to potty train my son and since he's so small in the waist all his 2T underwear {the smallest size I can find} are to big. I'm gonna have to shrink them this weekend

  24. I read as often as I can. I started following you about two or three weeks ago, but I am not very good at leaving comments for people on any of the blogs that I read. Trying to get better at that, but no luck so far. :)

  25. I read (and follow) but have been on various vacations most of the summer so I'm waaaaay behind on my commenting. I also use google reader when I'm away from home and that makes it tough to comment. But it's the easiest way to read on my phone.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yep! I follow and read your blog. All the blogs that I follow are in Google Reader so I get all the updates at once. I can't remember how I came across your blog, but I enjoy reading it. I'm a grad student in CA and my boyfriend is in the Air Force. We're pretty serious about our relationship so I've been reading lots of blogs about military spouse life. I'm excited about joining the sisterhood one day :-)

  27. I Love your mundane drivel. Only its not so drivel-ish. and at least dash-2 has them on. He'll learn eventually.

and your widget doesn't like me for some reason.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I follow, I read, and I enjoy. I don't always comments, but I always appreciate your updates!

  29. I follow, I read, and I try and comment if I can come up with something. I hate saying "Interesting, thanks for sharing!" all the time, so even if I don't comment, it's still 99.999999% likely I've read. Unless it's the weekend. Or vacation.

  30. I lost my blogroll and it took em forever to find everyone again...Blogroll is like GPS...don't know what to do without it! So, now I am a follower and your faithful cyber stalker. I shall now spend loads of time catching up on your posts. kthnxbai

  31. Well you got more responses to this than I did... I follow & read, I try to comment when I can =) Your kids are hilarious!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I read :) I wonder the same about my "followers" too and that's why last summer I made my blog only partially readable on Google reader so I could track with analytics but then I remembered how much I hate blogs like that and stopped doing it.

I'm doing my best at commenting more

    ReplyDelete
  33. I read ... I don't think I actually follow ... I usually come over from Becca's blog. I occasionally will comment ;)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hey there! :) I'm here and yep, I read everything. :) Right down to lollipops in your underwear drawer. :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. I am reading. Every. Single. Post.

Your boys sound like so much fun!!! And, of course, provide tons of amusement :-)

    ReplyDelete
  36. I don't always comment, but try to always read. I love reading about your adventures with 3 little boys!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I love to read your daily rumblings! I came here via ABW. I am not a "follower", I am just a "reader" who regularly reads. (Being a lurker sounds so seedy and dirty, in my opinion!) But trust me when I say "it's me, not you" in this situation. You're lovely and I just happen to suck at following blogs that I like. Ahem.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I read via Google Reader too. I try and respond but I am bad at reading lately. I read all my blogs about twice a week but I do love your blog. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't tend to comment because I never feel like I have anything worthy to say. But I follow and read you whenever I can, mostly because it makes me feel better about my life.

Wait, I just realised how that sounds! I mean I read your posts because they never fail to make me smile and that makes me feel better about my life, not that reading you makes me feel superior... oh never mind. Foot firmly in mouth and that's where it stays. But I still like your blog.

    ReplyDelete
  40. While my commenting skills suck, I am a follower that reads most of the entries you type out.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ok, de-lurking here. I found your blog a few months ago when my husband deployed (my first deployment) and I was looking for military wife blogs. I follow you in my reader and do actually read. Love your "honest mommy moments." We have no children (yet) but those give me hope that I can do the whole parenting thing. = )

    ReplyDelete
  42. Here and reading!
I just finished a rather difficult post on how things have been for me.
Luckily we are over the halfway through deployment hump and on the downhill slope. It's kind of like sliding down a slide with short shorts on... you go really slow and it kinda hurts when your legs hit that hot plastic.

  43. You have boys. Three boys. You understand my pain. Of course, I read your blog.

The last house we lived in was older. My boys, if not otherwise occupied, would pull molding off the walls or floor and use it as swords.

This house (a rental, mind you -- I'm never going to see my security deposit again) has the usual variety of crayon, marker, pen or pencil on the wall. Instead of scrubbing it off, about every month, I pull out the extra can of paint and touch up.

They also broke one of the blades off the fan in the family loft. They also managed to cut one of the strings on the miniblinds. Oh and did I mention that they shorted the electric circuit in the boys' and girls' room so now there's no power. No lights, no fan, no nothing.

I promise I watch them. I really do.

So yes, I read your blog.

  44. I read.. and comment some times too... I love hearing about flyboy and the dashes...

I do not comment all the time but I do lurk about here and there//

  45. I read, sometimes I get behind and need to catch up on a few posts. Currently, I only keep up with 2 blogs, and yours is one of them. At least your son wears underwear. Mine just finished with a phase of not wearing any, followed by wearing ONLY his Spongebob boxers.
I mean to comment often, but I am usually distracted.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I have to admit I'm one of the lurkers. Sorry. I love your blog, though. Your stories make me laugh outloud and sometimes cry (and sometimes all at the same time). You take me back. My husband is Air Force and my kids are grown and in college right now. My son will graduate next summer and then marry his college sweetheart soon thereafter. Being a mom is tough. Being a military mom just plain sucks sometimes. You sum it all up so well in your posts. Thanks! :D

  47. I have been reading your blog for a while now. I don't remember how I found it though. I enjoy your stories! You really make me laugh. I'm just terrible at commenting.

  48. Hi...still reading and enjoying.

  49. I don't follow (not thru the google thingy...just my sage RSS reader), but you know I read, because I think I comment regularly!

  55. I'm here. I read. Once these kids are back on a schedule, I will be here with bells on. Or at least clothes.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I've gotten bad reading the blogs under this 'name', I've been on my infertility one more, since were in the middle of the adoption (and I kinda hate the Air Force right now). But, I really do read your blogs, every one, even if its two at a time (like now!)

    ReplyDelete
  57. I read, I read! I just can't top the stories a house full of little boys generates. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  58. I just started reading! Your blog came highly recommended from one of my faves, yummy mummy. :)

I always have said I want three boys someday...although I feel like having them tear the house down and dig through your purse for tampons are much funnier stories when you hear them from someone else!

    Love it so far!

I'm not going to lie... I live for comments. Nice ones that is.
